MOUNTAIN ATHLETE COACH AND CLIMBING INSTRUCTOR (MCI/MIA)
Tom started his career as a sportsman and coach, enjoying the challenges of both physical competition and in development of the next generation of athletes. He soon began exploring personal and professional outdoor adventure challenges: climbing, mountaineering, triathlons and water sports, but it wasn't until leading clients up Himalayan peaks in Nepal and Tibet that Tom realised his true passion was actually in combining physical fitness and training with that of outdoor adventure challenges, and that his combined expertise in both of these areas could be of great benefit to his clients and the success of their own outdoor adventure fitness challenges.

Tom worked as a physical training instructor with the MOD; which required him to lead large groups of army recruits for fitness classes and tactical training programmes. He then studied personal training qualification and strength & conditioning level 4 coach award to further increase his knowledge and expertise within the area of physical training.

He now uses Training Peaks as a platform to remotely train and prepare athletes from around the world who regularly take part in mountain expeditions, triathlons, marathons and adventure challenges.

Tom also enjoys mountain guiding and climbing instruction courses throughout the UK and abroad. His favourite days out are with athletes he is training and preparing for upcoming mountain challenges.
