T O M H O R R O C K S
MOUNTAIN ATHLETE COACH AND CLIMBING INSTRUCTOR (MCI/MIA)
Tom started his career as a sportsman and coach, enjoying the challenges of both physical competition and in development of the next generation of athletes. He soon began exploring personal and professional outdoor adventure challenges: climbing, mountaineering, triathlons and water sports, but it wasn't until leading clients up Himalayan peaks in Nepal and Tibet that Tom realised his true passion was actually in combining physical fitness and training with that of outdoor adventure challenges, and that his combined expertise in both of these areas could be of great benefit to his clients and the success of their own outdoor adventure fitness challenges.

A balanced approach to training and rest, work and life commitments, are all highly important to Tom. Suffering from Chronic Fatigue in 2014 caused Tom to leave his position at the National Outdoor Centre in Scotland, with the subsequent years providing Tom significant reflection and learning opportunities on his approaches to fitness, training and personal adventure challenges. Every programme Tom creates for his clients is mindful of this need for balance and aims to inspire in clients a healthier and more holistic view of their own training and recovery.

Tom now enjoys working with athletes on and off the mountains and spends some time delivering fitness classes and workshops to local climbing walls. When not working he can be found climbing and exploring mountains nationally and internationally.
